Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where are you located?
A: We operate out of a home kitchen in Cedar Bluff, Knoxville, TN. For this reason, we do not accept drop-ins or same-day orders. Please place your orders at least two to four weeks in advance, as we tend to fill up rather quickly.

Q: Do you deliver?
A: Yes, depending on location. We charge a fee starting at $3 per mile plus a set-up fee (if you need it, of course).  Please contact us for further information and to see if we deliver to your area.

Q: Do you have a minimum for orders?
A: Yes, we have a minimum of $150 for all custom orders. And TWO dozen minimum for all small treats. Rates go up based on the complexity of the design and how long it takes to bring your concept together.

Q: How much are your cakes?
A: Because all of our cakes are unique and created for each customer’s specific needs, we do not have set prices. However, our cakes have ranged from $10 per serving to $46 per serving, with the average falling to $12 per serving. Please request a quote with your specific vision, theme, and guest count, and we can go from there.

Q: Why do your cakes cost so much?
A: That is a fantastic question! Custom cakes and desserts are very labor-intensive and require a lot of time and effort. They can take anywhere from 5 hours (the smallest and simplest cake) to 48 hours or MORE (for a larger, more elaborate design). Let's say your cake takes 5 hours to complete. According to Indeed, a McDonald's crew member in Knoxville gets paid an average of $12/hr for an entry-level job. We are an artisan/luxury service provider and ensure everyone who works with us gets paid a living wage. But let's go with the entry-level figures of $12/hr -at 5 hours to complete a small and simple custom cake, it comes to $60 for labor alone, not counting utilities, ingredients, packaging, equipment, business insurance, website maintenance, advertising, profit, etc. As a small business, we aim to offer the best possible service for a rate that allows us to provide for our families, continue to grow, and serve our community and beyond. Please request a quote for your next celebration, and we will work with you and offer multiple options within your budget or multiple payment options, such as AfterPay, Affirm through ShopPay, and Klarna.

Q: Can you make Disney cakes or other character cakes?
Unfortunately, no. It is copyright infringement for any cake business to create any character cakes or cakes that have logos, symbols, or likenesses to other businesses, people, or brands without written consent first (most of the time, that just doesn’t happen). “But I see other bakers make Disney cakes,” you may say. Well, most of the time, they are doing this illegally. Others have paid a very hefty price to have a license that allows them to make these cakes. As a small business, we will not risk our license or integrity to create these cakes. Instead, we can create something completely unique and match your color theme. Please request a quote , and we can work together to create an out-of-this-world design that will leave your guests in awe.

Q: Can I stop by for a pre-made cake or a few cupcakes today?
A: All of our custom cakes and desserts are made fresh to order. For that reason, we require a minimum of TWO to FOUR weeks' notice for a custom cake or dessert order. From time to time, we accept last-minute requests if we have the availability. All last-minute requests (7 days or less) incur a rush fee of $55 or 20% of your order total, whichever is greater.

Q: Do you offer special diet cakes?
A: Yes! Currently, we offer vegan and gluten-free options!
A note to our celiac friends, though we do the best we can to avoid cross-contamination with gluten products through thorough cleaning and disinfection, there is still a small chance of contamination. For this reason, we feel obligated to inform you that all of our products are made in a home kitchen that also produces products with gluten. Please order at your own risk. If you need a referral to a FULLY gluten-free cake artist, feel free to reach out to us.

Q: Do you ship?
A: Yes! We currently ship our cake toppers, sugar flowers, designer cookies, and cake jars within the state of Tennessee through USPS. Due to the restrictions of home-based kitchens and the license we hold, we cannot ship to other states at this time. We thank you for understanding.

Q: I want to surprise someone for their birthday, but I don't live in Knoxville or nearby. Can you set up a surprise delivery with a note?
A: Absolutely! We love surprises, and we do it all the time. We have people ordering from all over for a loved one living in Knoxville or the surrounding areas. We will keep you updated every step of the way; we'll even send you a photo!
